Manny better stay put with the Sox. They can't get equal value for him, and even if he doesn't want to be there, he still helps their chances of winning the division. Something tells me this is just more "Manny being Manny"

Manny is an ass. An despite what he says, he and the Sox organization deserve eachother........

It's too bad the Sox don't have Pedro anymore....because somebody has to admit that the Angels are their daddy.

It's going to be very interesting to see how Manny and Joe Torre get along. This could be good =)

Can't thank him enough for his huge contributions towards winning 2 Series, but I as a life long Sox fan, am actually happy that the drama is finally over. Now that the ultimate goal has been reached, twice, it seems fitting that any malcontents, no matter how talented, are ejected. Did we get equal value? Hell no. Did we shore up our future? Hell no. Is the clubhouse now a happier place (except for Papi)? Hell yes. To me that is an excellent deal. Are we still in the hunt for a 3rd title this year? Well, if we are, it will be because the ENTIRE team is trying their hardest, not just playing when they feel like it.

I agree with you about the clubhouse being much better off after this deal. However, they gave up not only Manny but two other decent players to get a player who isn't as good as Manny alone. Definitely a terrible move value-wise. They must have really wanted to unload him. He's done stuff like that in the past and it's always blown over; I guess enough was enough. 'Twill be interesting to see how this all plays out!
